'Party on the Patio' at Albertina's Restaurant and Shops set for June 3-4 | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Volunteer-run Albertina's Restaurant and Shops will hold a "Party on the Patio" to officially open one of Portland's most beautiful outdoor dining patios for the summer season from 4-7:30 p.m. June 3 and launch Chef Bryan Szeliga's all-new brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 4.
The event is the kick-off to a year-long celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Restaurant and Shops where proceeds support the work of Albertina Kerr. The Restaurant and Shops are at 424 NE 22nd Ave. (Glisan St.) in Portland.
Patio Opening Celebration: June 3, 4-7:30 p.m.
Stop in to celebrate the opening of the gorgeous garden patio for the summer season and enjoy specials on local wine and beer plus tasty small plates and an acoustic set from Portland's Winebirds. The Shops will also be open until 7:30 p.m.
Saturday Brunch Launch: June 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
From house made biscuits and killer pork gravy to a Dungeness crab sandwich and pulled pork hash, be one of the first to try the best new brunch menu in town. Starting June 4, Albertina's will be serving brunch year-round on Saturdays.
With help from Chef Szeliga, who has worked in some of Portland's best restaurants, volunteer-run Albertina's Restaurant recently changed over its menu from a set three-course luncheon with two seatings per day to a full Northwest-inspired lunch featuring items like chicken pot pie with organic root vegetables, herbs and Draper Valley chicken, house made soups and salads, a BLTA of Carlton Farms bacon, mixed greens, tomatoes and avocado mousse and now the new brunch menu. Albertina's is open 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for lunch and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays for brunch. In addition to the patio, Albertina's also has a private dining room available. To-go orders and gift certificates are available. Albertina's kitchen uses the freshest ingredients available including local dairy, organic produce and salmon-safe certified cage-free eggs.
Shop and dine for a good cause. Albertina's Restaurant and Shops also include antiques and collectibles at Kerr's Economy Jar, gifts for every occasion at the Kerr Gift Shop and gently used, carefully selected items at the Kerr Thrift Shop. The Shops are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds and tips from the volunteer-run restaurant and shops support Albertina Kerr services for people with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. When you eat and shop at Albertina's, you've earned your wings in the Kerr army of angels!
