News

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are investigating reports of shots fired.

The reports came in at about 3 p.m. from the 1600 Block of Northeast Killingsworth where there is said to be a building with several bullet holes in it.

Police say the building is vacant and no one was injured. They closed down several blocks near Northeast 16th and Killingsworth while they investigated.

Police were looking for a silver minivan that may have been involved in the shooting and pulled one over on Interstate 5 south just north of the Rosa Parks overpass at about 3:30 p.m. Police detained the occupants of the vehicle but then released them.

The traffic stop distrupted rush-hour traffic on both north- and southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in that area.

Police are still searching for a suspect or suspects in the shooting. They say they don't have any witnesses at this time.
